Blood Orange Punch is an all season and all party drink. From summers to winters, it is a great beverage. The punch type of beverage travelled from India to the west (Proud, aren’t we?). They are a little expensive but are surely a treat. If you can’t find blood oranges, you can use bottled blood orange juice. Fresh grape-juice is also a good alternative.
These blood oranges are very good and healthy for one’s body as they are grown in the volcanic region of Sicily, Italy. Blood oranges get its crimson shade from this environment. This is what gives these oranges such high levels of antioxidants, benefits liver and bones and is also good for pregnant women.
To enhance the taste of the blood orange punch, you can add several flavouring materials such as hibiscus tea bags. Before using the tea bags make sure to soak them in hot water. Other than this, you can top your blood orange punch with any sparkling topping- such as alcohol for adults or cider for the young kids.

1. Fill ice cube trays with 1.5 cups of orange juice, and freeze it over night.
2. To make blood orange punch , stir remaining orange juice, soda, lime juice, rum, and bitters in a large bowl.
3. Before serving, add frozen orange slices. You may add ice cubes as needed to keep chilled.
